Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial music producer and singer, who mixes Soul gospel Jazz and R&B in a signature mix. She has appeared on stages all over the world, from Broadway through The Democratic National Convention to the European music scene and the club scenes. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. While she is a resident of Atlanta but she is from Chester Pennsylvania where she began music by performing as well as playing the piano at the church. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music in the city's R&B scene. She became the primary pianist for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who had worked on the stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her to serve as the choir leader of the production. Sunshine was the subject of national media interest during four consecutive shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
